RIDING THE BUMPS
Riding bumps requires a little planning ahead. Choose a line through the bumps. Ride up
the bump (Photos 1 through 3) either in skidded or carved technique. Ride down the back side
(Photos 4 through 6) in skidded or carved technique. Use carving for shallow slopes. Use skidding turns
on steeper slopes to reduce speed. Keep the upper body quiet and let the legs do the work.
For the stance shown in the photos, keep the lead shoulder facing down hill.
