RESTING WITH A SNOWBOARD

When resting on a snowboard, the rider should avoid sitting on the trail with his or her back facing uphill as shown in the above image to the left. This tends to limit observation of other skiers or riders on the hill. A better position is to rest on the knees looking uphill and to rest on the side of the trail. This allows easier observation of the hill, giving time to anticipate any problems that may occur.
