GETTING UP ON 2 TRICK SKIS

Getting up on 2 trick skis is similar to getting up on conventional skis but with a little more instability because fins are not provided on trick skis. Maintain the floating position with skis in front (Photo 1). As the bolt speeds up tend to resist the pull (Photo 2) until you pop out of the water (Photo 3). Use the ankles to keep the feet straight since there are no fins.

As speed increase keep the body center of mass over the skis (Photos 4 and 5) lest they slide forward or backward. As experience develops the instability of the feet will reduce as ankle ski in keeping the skis straight develops.
