USING THE EXTENDED PYLON FOR WAKEBOARDING

Typical water ski boats can be converted to wakeboard boats by adding weight to the stern (back) and adding an extended pylon. The weight in the back makes the wake larger for higher jumps. The extended pylon adds a little height to the tow rope and height to the jump. Shown below is a typical ski boat with the extended pylon installed over the original pylon. This results in an adjustable height from 6 to 8 feet above the boat deck. A cable is usually attached to the bow eye to counteract the excessive bending stresses from the longer pylon.
